First time in a McMenamins in so many years. I've been to this location before and it's a small, quint little pub. Very intimate setting, stopped in for a Hammerhead and an appetizer. Order was taken quickly. Overall, a great experience.... the Hammerhead ale is great and still the flagship ale for McMenamins. The Cajun tots were very tasty. So after all these years, McMenamins is still delivering the goods. The artwork is typical of the establishments... very cosmic and trip-tacular. The staff are not tripping though, the service was excellent...shout out to Morgan.
So I do like to go to McMenamins all over and I do have a passport. But not living in Oregon I don't get to stop in the "little" ones. I really like this place and its neighborhood feel. I ordered the blue cheese burger which tasted great, even though I had to drain it a bit almost like they put really wet lettuce on it. I had a side salad and stole a couple of tots off a friends plate. I have never had their ciders before and had a flight with blackberry, cherry and standard apple cider they were all delicious, so I may have had a couple of pints of cider and a whiskey flight. Our server was really nice and attentive. This venue like other McMenamins is beautiful unfortunately I was having such a great time I didn't explore the place.
Had a great burger with some Mac and cheese. Our server was very nice and friendly. The lighting inside had a soft tone that was delightfully calming.
